This might be true if Apple were a true competitor to RIM these days. (And if RIM were truly worried about Apple - having been at the AGM this week, they are not; they may be monitoring the market but their plans were laid long before iPhone.

2280 applications available at Handango for my 8820 is nothing to sneeze at. But RIM and Apple are going after two different markets. (But thanks to Apple for helping to get data plans on Rogers at least into the right pricing range even if not the right absolute prices.) And they thank Apple for building awareness of SmartPhones. But there is something truly Bold coming.

RIM just needs to give more publicity to their developer program that already exists (and has existed for several years) and, for vertical applications, is embedded into many enterprises.

But the secret weapon of the Bold is the display! Enough said. Just see it! (when you can in a few weeks)

Yeah - I'm looking for the flags myself. It must be simply embarrassing to be a competitor of Apple's these days. I know the day will come when Apple turns into Microsoft, but that day is not today.
