		<description>First, Twitter isn&#039;t pulling out of the UK market.  It&#039;s just not supporting SMS messaging.  The headline makes it sound like you can&#039;t Tweet or receive Tweets if you&#039;re in the UK, which isn&#039;t completely accurate.

I don&#039;t think profit or revenue is important for Twitter to be a success.  Their approach (seems to be) that they want to make it easy for data to flow through their system, make conversations easier.  It&#039;s the data that&#039;s important. 

Can *Twitter* monetize that?  I don&#039;t know.  I think someone will see the value in the data itself, and the flow of the data through it, and pay to subsidize it.</description>
